About ACCEO
ACCEO is the Association of Caravan and Camping Exempted Organisations and represent over 200 Caravan and Camping Clubs who hold a Certificate of Exemption from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Activities (Defra) An elected Committee runs the Organisation on behalf of the member Clubs.
ACCEO works with Defra and other Government bodies on behalf of the member Clubs. In this way, ACCEO is able to provide both services and access to facilities not directly available to Clubs, protects Member Clubs interests, and offers help and advice on caravan/camping related topics.
The category of 'Personal Membership' has also been introduced as a means of individual members supporting the Association in addition to support from their Clubs. Discount offers are provided to personal members.
ACCEO also provides a service to member Clubs by arranging caravan rallies when extended over 5 days. The organisation also arranges rallies in National Parks. It is necessary to comply with the National Parks timetable for booking rallies.
ACCEO prepares information sheets as general guidance on aspects of caravanning which assists Clubs to keep up to date with legislation which may have an impact on their Club. They provide information as the basis for further investigation rather than a definitive statement
'ACCEO Matters' is a colour publication that is issued three or four times per year on current events and areas of interest, to Clubs and Personal Members. Facilities are also provided for Advertisers to include their products in the publication or as a mailshot to Clubs and Individual Members at a nominal charge. |
